XI. Open-Air-Blues-Session 12.06.2011
Am Mauritiuskirchplatz - Köln
Es war unser 11. mal dabei zu sein, und unser 3. mal als "krönender Abschluss". Sein aller erste Aufftritt hat unser neuer drummer, Robert Imig, hervoragend gemeistert. Glück hatten wir auch wieder mit der Wetter. Am Nachtmittag hat es richtig geshutert, aber danach war ist zwar Kühl aber trocken geblieben.

It was our 11th time to play at this event, and the 3rd time that we were allowed to play as the "grand finale" .
Our new drummer, Robert Imig made his debut, and gave a great performance. We were again really lucky with the weather. At noon it rained really hard, but by the time the show began though it was cooler, it remained dry.

  IX. Open-Air-Blues-Session 12.06.2009
Am Mauritiuskirchplatz - Köln

Es war unser 7. mal dabei zu sein, und unser 2. mal als "krönender Abschluss". Als special guest war Billie am Saxofon dabei. Highlight war Time Warp mit Fabian im Korsett Oberteil.

It was our 7th time to play at this event, and the 2nd time that we were allowed the "grand finale" . The last few numbers we were joined by a special guest, Billie on saxophone. The Highlight was when during "Time Warp" Fabian took off his shirt to reveal a Corsett Top.

Es war unser 6. Aufftritt bei dieser Veranstlatung dabei zu sein. So gut besucht war es noch nie... der Wetter hat ja mit gespielt.

It was our 6th time to play at this event. It was the best frequented event yet... the weather helped.

Es war unser 4. Aufftritt bei dieser Veranstlatung aber wir haben zum ersten Mal als "krönender Abschluss" speielen dürfen.

  VI. Open-Air-Blues-Session 27.05.2005

Das Wetter war absolut perfekt in diesem Jahr, und dementsprechend war die Veranstaltung auch sehr gut besucht.

The weather was absolutly perfect this year, and therefore the open air event drew a big crowd this year.
 		 

 

 

  V. Open-Air-Blues-Session 11.06.2004

Wir haben wenig Fotos aber dafür ein nettes Video gemacht. Am Anfang war die Veranstaltung ein bisschen regnerisch, aber als Fabian beim Song "Sweet home Alabama" gerade die Textstelle "where the skies are blue" sang, brach die Sonne aus. Zu Ehren Ray Charles, welcher am Tag davor gestorben ist, haben wir spontan entschieden zum ersten Mal "Hit the Road Jack" zu spielen. Kleine Panne: In diesem Jahr erlitt Heijo's Bass einen "Saitensprung". Glück im Unglück: Er konnte dann kurzfristig den Bass eines Kollegen ausleihen..

We did not take many photos, but we did make a video. The Session was a little rainy at first, but as Fabian sang "Sweet home Alabama where the skies are blue" the clouds really did break. In honor of Ray Charles who had died the day before we spontaniously decided to play "Hit the Road Jack". Heijo broke a string on his bass, but was able to borrow another one from someone in the crowd.

 

IV. Open-Air-Blues-Session 20.06.2003

2003 war unser erste mal bei der Open Air Session. Es war bis da hin das grösste Publikum vor dem wir jemals zuvor gespielt haben. Da Britta unser background sängerin neun Tage vor dem Aufftritt der Band verlassen hat, hat Franziska Behrens ganz kurzfristig eingesprung. Der Veranstaltung hat uns so Gut gefallen das wir haben uns schon bereit erklärt in nächsten Jahr zu spielen. Klaus hat ein kleine panne bei der eröffnungs stück "Mustang Sally" da sein stimmgerät war fälsch eingestellt. Danach war alles wie in Butter!

2003 was our first time to take part in the Session on Mauritiuskirchplatz. It was the biggest crowd that we had played for up to then. As our regular Background singer quit the band only 9 days before this event, we had a friend Franziska Behrens fill in on background vocals. We were so pleased with the organization and our performance that we immediatly said we would be interested in playing at the session in the future as well. We started out with "Mustang Sally" and Klaus guitar was totally out of tune, but as soon as he tuned up the set went Super!
