Robert,
our new drummer, picked me up and I helped him load up his drums
from our studio. We arrived with no problems. Werner, Michael
Groote (guest percusionist), and Heinz were already there and
were busy setting up.
Set up went fast and smoothly,
so I had plenty of time to orgnize the 3 set lists that we were
to play from 9 p.m. till midnight.
After the first set we got fed
- frikadeln & fries. I also spoke with a potential client
who wants to book us in October. The manager also spoke with
me and said they would like to have us play regularly.
At the end of our third (last)
set, the owner asked us if we could play a little longer. So
we consulted with Robert to ask what he was able to play. We
played a couple songs that we had skipped and then repeated
a few of the songs from the first set.
It was a great launch to Theo's
session and we were happy to have been asked to play.

I
was happy to see a few familiar faces in the crowd,
especially Reiner
Kluth
with his camera, as he always takes great photos!
